Entry for the spring tournaments opens next week

Published 2026-07-28

Entries for the 2026 Spring Series open on Monday, 3 August and close at 23:59 on Sunday, 16 August. The series covers three sanctioned events — the Culvermoss Open, the Quenmoor Invitational, and the Vellingate Cup — and every registered club member is eligible to enter at least one of them.

Before you submit an entry, please check your current ranking category. A surprising number of withdrawals each spring come from players entering a category they no longer qualify for, which delays seeding and annoys everyone involved.

Entry windows

The entry portal follows a staggered schedule this year to spread the load on the registration system:

  • 3–7 August: Elite and Championship category players.
  • 8–12 August: Club and Development category players.
  • 13–16 August: Late entries for all categories, subject to a $5 late fee and space in the draw.

Entries submitted before your window opens will be queued automatically, so there is no advantage to refreshing the page at midnight (we checked — several of you tried this last year).

Ranking categories

Your category is set by your rolling twelve-month ranking points, recalculated every quarter. The current bands are:

  1. Elite — top 32 ranked players nationally.
  2. Championship — ranking points between 800 and 1,499.
  3. Club — ranking points between 250 and 799.
  4. Development — new or returning players with fewer than 250 points, or no ranking history at all.

If you moved bands after the June recalculation, your dashboard will show the updated category, not the one printed on last season's entry form. When in doubt, use the dashboard — it is always the source of truth.

Draw sizes and byes

Draw sizes will be confirmed once entries close on 16 August, but organizers are planning for 32-player draws in Elite and Championship, and 48-player draws in Club and Development, with byes allocated to the top eight seeds in each. Players who entered both a singles and a doubles event should note that doubles draws close a week later, on 23 August, to allow partnerships to be finalised.

How to enter

Entering takes only a few minutes through the Player Portal:

  1. Confirm your ranking category on your dashboard.
  2. Select the tournament and event (singles, doubles, or both).
  3. Choose a preferred draw date if the tournament offers more than one.
  4. Submit payment — entry fees are unchanged from last spring.
  5. Watch your inbox for a confirmation email within 24 hours.

If you don't receive a confirmation, check your spam folder first; if it still hasn't arrived after a day, contact your club's tournament coordinator rather than resubmitting, since duplicate entries have to be manually merged.

Withdrawals and category disputes

Withdrawals made before 9 August receive a full refund; after that date, only a partial refund applies, as draws will already be in preparation. Players who believe their ranking category has been miscalculated can raise a dispute through the portal's support form, and the ranking committee aims to resolve these within three working days.

Contacts

General questions about entries, categories, or draw sizes can be directed to your club's tournament coordinator, who can escalate to the regional ranking committee if needed. We'll post the confirmed draws here as soon as they're finalised.
